The Mankato Regional Airport has been at its current location since 1970. Geographic location is five miles Northeast of Mankato and five miles Southeast of St. Peter. A recent $12 million improvement project continues to make the Mankato Regional Airport one of Mankato's best positioned assets for growth.
Citizens are encouraged to serve on the Mankato Regional Airport Commission, an advisory body to the Mankato City Council and city staff. If interested in serving on the Mankato Regional Airport Commission.
The Mankato Regional Airport has a conference room available for public use. The room accommodates 25 to 30 people. Rental rates are $25 for a half day and $50 for a full day. Reservations must be made in advance. For more information, or to reserve a room, contact airport manager, at 507-345-3171.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is not part of any city but is nestled among several. The airport is surrounded by Minneapolis, St. Paul and the suburban cities of Bloomington, Eagan, Mendota Heights and Richfield.
MSP has one airfield with four runways and two terminal buildings - Terminal 1-Lindbergh and Terminal 2-Humphrey -each with adjoining parking ramp facilities. Travelers who need to transfer from one terminal to the other use the light rail transit service. There is no pedestrian access between the buildings.
The airport is managed and run by the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), a public corporation established in 1943 by the Minnesota State legislature to provide for coordinated aviation services throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
